The Producer/Sales Executive is part of a team that is responsible for driving new business and managing existing client revenue retention.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prospect for new business by following sales leads generated by referrals, networking, marketing and cold-calling
  • Ability to identify and overcome sales obstacles on a prospect basis
  • Achieve new business sales goals on an annualized basis based upon target markets of carriers
  • Manage existing client relationships by completing policy reviews, analyzing loss experience, etc.
  • Successfully develop and deploy sales and marketing strategies for clients and prospects
  • Understand and communicate client objectives to account management/servicing personnel
  • Create positive synergy and pursue cross selling opportunities to enhance prospect and customer experiences
  • Demonstrate strategic thinking and innovation based upon product knowledge of the market, carriers and products, including understanding of important technical, financial and risk issues
  • Positively and proactively represent agency at meetings, seminars, trade shows and networking events

Qualifications:

  • College degree or appropriate insurance designation, three to five years of brokerage, carrier, or related insurance experience or equivalent, and applicable insurance licensure.
  • Computer skills required: Microsoft Office Suite; job-specific software

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Occasionally required to stand/walk; frequently required to sit; continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity and to talk or hear. Normal office environment.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At MDP, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
