Summary: Acts as team leader, responsible for managing and coordinating all team accounts.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  •  Manages assigned accounts; analyzes accounts for adequacy and appropriate
    coverage. Prepares proposals, analysis and summaries as needed.
  • Solicits business from potential clients, completes sales and routes documents for processing, opens and services new accounts.
  • Markets the account and reviews marketing placements.
  • Builds long-term advisory relationship with clients, manages claims and related issues.
  • Reviews upcoming renewals 120 days out and sets the course of action by scheduling the team renewal meetings monthly; initiates renewal procedures.
  • Identifies cross/up selling opportunities. Expands and rounds out existing
    accounts by identifying potential gaps in coverage, recommending and
    implementing proper coverage.
  • Keeps the team informed of the carrier’s appetites and pricing changes. Attends carrier meetings and disseminates information to the team.
  • Responsible for making sure that all the terms and conditions of the insurance policies are properly prepared.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (BA) from four-year college or university, or one to two years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Certificates, licenses and registrations required: State of Maryland Property and Casualty Insurance License
  • Computer skills required: Applied Systems: Epic Online Database software;
    Microsoft Office Suite

Pay Range:

  • $75k – $110k

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Occasionally required to stand/walk; frequently required to sit; continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity and to talk or hear. Normal office environment.
