Summary: Based out of the Hunt Valley, MD office, this full-time Client Manager position is central to the development of an Employee Benefits program. Reporting to the Partners of Kastendike Insurance Group (KIG), this Client Manager consistently provides the highest level of day-to-day service to internal and external clients. This Client Manager is responsible for supporting and collaborating with Senior Benefits Executive regarding client employee communication initiatives, client presentations and deliverables, carrier implementations, compliance, and new client onboarding.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of group benefits clients, ranging from 10 to 250 lives.
  • Oversee marketing renewals, open enrollments, and assist with enrollment processes.
  • Provide general servicing and support to clients, ensuring their needs are met promptly and professionally.
  • Identify opportunities to round out accounts and enhance client relationships.
  • Quote new and renewal business, ensuring competitive and comprehensive offerings.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver seamless client experiences.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree (BA) from four-year college or university, or 2-4 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education/experience.
  • Licensure: Active Life & Health (L&H) license required.
  • Computer skills required: Epic Online Database software; Microsoft Office Suite, plus specific industry software
  • Proven expertise in marketing renewals, managing open enrollments, and servicing group benefits accounts.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Demonstrate problem-solving skills, including research capabilities.
  • Ability to organize, plan, and prioritize with effective results.
  • Open to constructive criticism and ideas.
  • A client-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Occasionally required to stand/walk; frequently required to sit; continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity and to talk or hear. Normal office environment.

Pay Range:

  • $55,000-$85,000

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At MDP, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is presented within this posting.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual bonus program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
